a creative archive
This is a creative archive - a collected record of work, observation, and making.
Cognitive respite is the thread.
The idea that a space, an image, or an object can give the mind somewhere to rest.
A frame does this literally - what was once a three-dimensional scene becomes a composition.
Depth collapses.
The eye is no longer navigating a world - it is receiving a considered interpretation of one.
That is where the respite happens. In seeing something that has already done the work of looking for you.
Without it, what separates the image from the scene itself?
This archive follows that principle at every scale.
